About the Firm
Elizabeth chose family law as her area of concentration even before she began law school. She has always liked working with people and feels great satisfaction in helping them solve their problems. She is passionate about digging into the details and discovering all of the facts that help achieve her client's goals. Whether it's hunting for hidden assets or finding the true income of a self employed parent, a mother seeking the child support she is entitled to, a father fighting for custody because it's truly in the best interests of his children or a couple looking to start a new family through adoption or surrogacy, Elizabeth loves helping people and knows she can make a difference in their lives.
Through her experience in family law, where real estate is often involved, Elizabeth developed a strong real estate practice. She learned quickly that purchasing and selling real estate was not just a transaction for her clients it was often a life changing event. Knowing this, Elizabeth makes herself available to her clients for even the smallest of concerns. She also makes sure to truly listen to her clients to help them purchase real estate with as little stress as possible.
When she opened her first law office over ten years ago she developed a list of things she would want as a client and decided to stick to these principles throughout her practice:
- Always return a clients' phone call as soon as possible.
- Listen to every client every time.
- Always keep the client informed of the status of his or her case.
- Always be honest with clients.
- Always be prepared.
- Always strive to reach an amicable settlement in the best interests of each client saving unnecessary attorneys' fees and frustration.
- Fight when it is time to fight.
These goals remain the heart of her practice today. In keeping with her desire to help people, Elizabeth welcomes anyone to call her, no matter what his or her legal problem is. If she can not help she will help you find an attorney who can.
Elizabeth is an active member of several community organizations, including the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce where she is one of the board of directors and the South Michigan Avenue Merchant's Association. Elizabeth also sits on a review panel which awards fertility assistance grants for Angels of Hope, Inc., NFP.
