Egg / Embryo Agreements
Along with allowing new and exciting parenting opportunities for couples, the development of egg/embryo technology has also created special legal issues. Difficulties arise when couples no longer need or wish to use the embryos they have stored, when couples make no determination of what should be done with eggs/embryos in the event of death or divorce or when couples relocate to a different state and wish to take their embryos with them. We confront these and any others by creating egg/embryo agreements to ensure that our clients' rights and interests are protected by:
- Establishing "property rights" and ownership of eggs / embryos
- Ensuring the client's wishes are followed in disposition or transfer of unused or unwanted eggs / embryos
- Establishing rules for disposition of eggs / embryos in the event of death or divorce
